The ages pass

Humans burn

So fast

No instinct

Learned behavior

Has done much more

Besides recording

Knowlege gained

Passing it on

That the next 

generation

That eventually

A bionic body

A synthetic 

Brain

To transfer 

concsiouness

Into the future

Robots 

with souls

Computers

That reason

Not the first

But who decides?

Money and glory

Earn the right

to live in a deathless

Tomorrow

Starlight glistens 

On rogue night,

The nights of month

When there is no moon,

Sight restricted,

As the veil

Is not lifted,

And a deeper darkness

Is the only sign

Of the trail that must be

Followed...

What is waiting?

At the end of your journey?

What is at the end of mine?

Some can be planned,

But, If you abandon 

Your soul...

Will you decide

That mind and body are

Enough Alone?

The sun shines...

But not through the mists

That blanket and chill,

The sprawling Mountains.

The snow already

On the ground,

Combines with the fog

To muffle even the sound,

Of the frozen top layer,

Of Ice; feet break through,

With every step,

Plunging into

Brittle, Fozen powder

The pines seem gray,

Green muted by the 

Clouds hugging the ground,

An elk's bugle 

Haunts the ear

From a distance,

Remember back

To dawn: Wolves howl

Nearly extinct,

A threat that had to be

Destroyed, hunted down

A danger turned upon itself...

And fully a quarter 

Of all mammals threatened 

To be no more,

The wolf brought back,

Yet humanized...

As all animals left

Shall be

Introduction to the background,

Mysterious origions,

Ageless spells, And abilities,

Traditional ways converted to new,

Sacred places within, Without,

Mechanics of walking planes,

The experiences gained,

That when you wake up,

You can fall back to sleep,

And re-enter the same dream,

The sleep of this kind impossible, it would seem,

Without sanctuary...Need sanctuary,

...

Inherited, or grown Pathologically

A primary transfiguration.

Morals and ethics

Vegetarians and vegans...

Carnivores and primates,

To be better,

Goals and desires,

Between phenotypes,

...

A confession or an old tale told,

Alone in a dreaming mind to roam,

Organized exclusion from everyday life,

With this trail of passing... Beliefs of passing time,

As I am

Where I am How I feel

The way I am...

Alone

Noone is as I am

Where I am or have been

Noone Knows how I feel,

Or ultimately the way I am...

Alone

So I live among the

Drudgery, despair, and loss

That is my unique life,

I spin out and lose confidence

Every time I reach out

To watch the bizarre way

That negativity

Creeps in...

And try to find a new way

Through what has become

My life and fear of life

Yet it is too hard to die.
